Year 2

While continuing to enhance their theoretical knowledge, students are introduced to management. During the practical training, they manage the first-year students, while being managed themselves by the third-year students. Students gain in self-confidence and do an internship in a foreign country other than France.

Contact us with any questions and to begin your application. Once you’re ready to apply, we will forward your complete application and all required documents to the school. Depending on the program, you may be invited to complete an entrance exam and/or an interview, which can take place online or in person. Admission decisions are typically communicated within 1 to 2 weeks after the exam. Final admission is confirmed following a personal interview with the school.

No, French is not required to join a Vatel program in Bordeaux. All academic courses are offered in English, and students can choose to study in either English or French. While knowledge of French can be helpful for daily life in France and during internships, it is not necessary for successfully completing the program.

Students enrolled in the Bachelor in International Hotel Management program complete a minimum of 10 months of operational internships during their 1st and 2nd years. Those who continue with the MBA in International Hotel Management  gain an additional 6 months of experience in managerial roles.

While French is not required to secure an internship, it can significantly broaden the range of available opportunities. Understanding French can greatly enhance both internship placement and the overall professional experience.

Non-native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency equivalent to CEFR level B2.
